Ready, Stretch, Go!


Charity runners dressed as Santa Claus take part in a six kilometer Disability Snowport London Santa Run at Battersea Park in London, on December 1, 2012. Hundreds of runners took part in the annual run to raise funds for the charity which helps disabled people take part in snow sports.

The term has acquired a negative connotation, referring to a carefully planned pseudo-event, or a non-event that often masquerades as news.
