Tent / Building

A woman attends to her baby as a girl organizes her school backpack at the entrance to an abandoned student dormitory building owned by the Hebrew University, in the Jerusalem neighborhood of Kiryat HaYovel, on September 5, 2011. Homeless families who came from various tent camps around the capital and Mevasseret Zion, broke into the building and took over it, demanding public housing. Despite being served a 48-hour eviction notice, which expires on Tuesday morning, the families say they will not leave until they are given housing solutions.

About this blog

Photo Op: short for photo opportunity, originally referred to an opportunity to take a memorable and effective photograph of a politician, a celebrity, or a notable event. The term has acquired a negative connotation, referring to a carefully planned pseudo-event, or a non-event that often masquerades as news. This blog is called "Photo Op" and I hope this is where the resemblance to the above definition ends.
