An Israeli homeless woman cries and expresses her anger at Israeli police (not pictured), as she holds an item of her personal belongings near an abandoned student dormitory building owned by the Hebrew University, in the Jerusalem neighborhood of Kiryat HaYovel, on September 13, 2011, after security forces evicted homeless families who broke into the building a week and a half ago and took over it, demanding public housing solutions.

About this blog

Photo Op: short for photo opportunity, originally referred to an opportunity to take a memorable and effective photograph of a politician, a celebrity, or a notable event. The term has acquired a negative connotation, referring to a carefully planned pseudo-event, or a non-event that often masquerades as news. This blog is called "Photo Op" and I hope this is where the resemblance to the above definition ends.
