Silent noises

Israelis dance to music transmitted to wireless headphones and play matkot (the traditional Israeli paddle ball game) as they celebrate summer, during an urban beach party held at the outdoor parking lot of the Malcha Shopping Mall in Jerusalem on July 29, 2011. The main shopping center was turned, for the first time, into a beachgoer's paradise with tons of sand, lounge chairs, parasols, matkot (the traditional Israeli paddle ball game), beer, ice-cream, watermelon and popsicles.

About this blog

Photo Op: short for photo opportunity, originally referred to an opportunity to take a memorable and effective photograph of a politician, a celebrity, or a notable event. The term has acquired a negative connotation, referring to a carefully planned pseudo-event, or a non-event that often masquerades as news. This blog is called "Photo Op" and I hope this is where the resemblance to the above definition ends.
