Avigdor's day

Israel's Foreign Minister Avigdor Lieberman (C), MK Faina Kirschenbaum (R) and MK Robert Ilatov (2nd L) attend a press conference at the Knesset, Israel's parliament in Jerusalem, on July 20, 2011, following a voting session over two controversial bills. One bill calls for the establishment of parliamentary inquiry committees to investigate foreign organizations and governments' funding of left-wing non-governmental organizations (NGOs) and human rights groups accused of anti-Israel activity, especially when it comes to land purchases on their behalf. The second bill would probe the NGOs and groups that take an active part in the delegitimization of the Israel Defense Forces.

About this blog

Photo Op: short for photo opportunity, originally referred to an opportunity to take a memorable and effective photograph of a politician, a celebrity, or a notable event. The term has acquired a negative connotation, referring to a carefully planned pseudo-event, or a non-event that often masquerades as news. This blog is called "Photo Op" and I hope this is where the resemblance to the above definition ends.
