Photo Op: short for photo opportunity, originally referred to an opportunity to take a memorable and effective photograph of a politician, a celebrity, or a notable event.
The term has acquired a negative connotation, referring to a carefully planned pseudo-event, or a non-event that often masquerades as news.
This blog is called "Photo Op" and I hope this is where the resemblance to the above definition ends.
