A Winter protest

A left-wing activist carries a banner as he protests against the Jewish National Fund (or Keren Kayemet LeYisrael) policy regarding the repeated demolition of tents and buildings in the Bedouin village of al-Arakib in the Negev Desert and the eviction of Bedouin families from the place, during a demonstration outside the JNF offices in Jerusalem, on February 1, 2011.

About this blog

Photo Op: short for photo opportunity, originally referred to an opportunity to take a memorable and effective photograph of a politician, a celebrity, or a notable event. The term has acquired a negative connotation, referring to a carefully planned pseudo-event, or a non-event that often masquerades as news. This blog is called "Photo Op" and I hope this is where the resemblance to the above definition ends.
