Save the chickens

Animal rights activists, some dressed up as chickens, take part in a demonstration against conditions of egg-laying chickens outside the Knesset, Israel's parliament in Jerusalem on July 22, 2010. The protesters are opposing the use of battery cages, industrial agricultural confinement cages which measure roughly 45 cm by 50 cm and hold between five to eleven hens on average and are used primarily for egg-laying chickens.

About this blog

Photo Op: short for photo opportunity, originally referred to an opportunity to take a memorable and effective photograph of a politician, a celebrity, or a notable event. The term has acquired a negative connotation, referring to a carefully planned pseudo-event, or a non-event that often masquerades as news. This blog is called "Photo Op" and I hope this is where the resemblance to the above definition ends.
